Review:

Mermaid of Venice by Jincey Lumpkin is a book about the glamourous life of Gia Aquaviva. A women with a deadly secret and a pension for attractive men. We meet a mogul who is not afraid to go after what she wants and she just so happens to be half mermaid. We follow Gia Aquaviva on an adventure that gets a bit out of control. Her secret pleasure has come to light and you know what they say, even the most well hidden and darkest of secrets float to the surface.

I enjoyed reading about Gia Aquaviva for multiple reasons number 1. Gia Aquaviva is a bomb ass name 2. She is self assured and for the most part knows what she is doing 3. She is a complete filthy rich badass. There is a lot in this book that I loved reading but I think some of my favorite parts where the flashbacks to her parents and Vittore in their youth. La Nonna was a character that I was like if there was a book on her I would read it in a heart beat. I know that a lot of people that will hate Harper but I actually kind of liked her. She and Gia are cut from a similar cloth. This book was a rollercoaster of emotions. There is a lot I appreciated about this book and a couple things that I would like to see developed more in the second book. For example dialogue and plot device’s. That being said the ending made me want to go into Jincey Lumpkin’s dm’s and demand the second book because Gia just yanked the door open into a very sticky situation. I am excited to see what becomes of Gia and what happens next.

Let me know if you end up checking it out.

Stay Colorful Fam!
